How Do I Become A Member? – Please Visit the “Become a Member Section” by clicking here.

Do I Need To Own A Boat To Be A Member? – No. While HHYC is a yacht club dedicated to the cruising and sailing community, we welcome members who want to learn more about boating and cruising as well.

Is HHYC Open To The Public?Breakfast By The Bay on Sundays is open to the public, otherwise HHYC is a private member only facility. We do offer rentals for weddings, graduations, and other special events.

My Password Doesn’t Work. – Keep in mind that due to vendor limitations every member has two accounts. One for the accounting (POS) system and one for the website. It is possible you have used two different email addresses for login or your account did not get set up on one of the systems. You may also have two different passwords. Please try the “forgot my password link” after selecting which members area you want to see. If that doesn’t work, please fill out the “help and support” form.

What are the Club Hours? – The Dining Room and Commodores Lounge Hours are kept up to date on the Amenities Page. Office hours are kept up to date on the Contact Page. Events and meetings are on the club calendar.

Does the Club Have Slips For Rent? – HHYC is located on City of Huntington Beach Property and we do not have an associated private marina. There is a public dock out front members can use while visiting the club. Sunset Aquatic, Peter’s Landing and Davenport Marina occasionally have slips for rent.

Does The Club Have a California Boaters Card Class? – No. Boat US and several other organizations have online classes that qualify for the California Boaters Card.

Can I Pay My Bill Online? – Yes! we now have all members set to be able to log into the POS system and pay invoices online. Visit the Member Only Section and select Access POS Statements.

Can I Set My Account To Autopay? – Yes. All accounts will autopay to the default card on file if not paid within 30 days. If you want to have it auto pay on the due date or each time you check out of the club, you can set that up in the POS section of the Members Only page. Simply select “Click Here To Access POS Statements”. Once logged in you will see multiple options.

How Can I Re-Join after a Membership Lapse? – Please visit the Become a Member section and fill out the form to apply as a new member. This way we have your most up to date information and someone from the membership committee will contact you. You can also stop by the club during normal business hours to get the forms.

Which Bullion Should I Wear On The Uniform? – There are four different Bullions. Two for men and two for women. There are two versions. One for boat owners and one with a “Knot” at the bottom signifying that you are “not” a boat owner. Even yacht clubs have a sense of humor.

Is A “Uniform” Required? – HHYC does not require a uniform however for our larger events, sitting at the door as the Sergeant at Arms on Fridays and other club events we suggest a uniform be worn. For both Men and Women the Uniform is a Navy Blue Jacket with Gold Buttons and the proper bullion and a white button down shirt. The pant/skirt colors change with the seasons.

When Does the Uniform Change? – Traditionally, Grey Slacks or skirts are worn from Labor Day to Memorial Day (Sept-Jun) and White Slacks or Skirts from Memorial Day to Labor Day (Jun-Sept).

Where Can I Buy My Uniform? – Most suit and dress shops have a suitable Jacket and slacks during the appropriate time of year. Bullions, mens ties and ladies scarves are available through the Ship’s Store.

Is There an Online Store? – At this time the Ships Store is in person only.
