EMERALD BAY 2019
On Friday, June 22, 2019, several members of our HHYC departed for Catalina Island. Destination: Emerald Bay. Low clouds greeted everyone when they got there, but by afternoon, things started to clear up. Friday evening started with Happy Hour aboard the ‘At Last’. Later, everyone visited the Corsair Yacht Club for an outdoor ‘burn your own meal’. Saturday morning, it was blue skies, warm temperatures and light winds. Breakfast was had where ever you were at, followed by hikes, fishing and cruising in your inflatables to Two Harbors for lunch. Saturday evening had a new flavor…build your own pizza night. This was such a hit as EVERYONE participated. Jim Finninger’s Mai Tai’s were back, and laughter was the common denominator all evening long. The evening ended with a celebration, with everyone singing Happy Birthday to Jim Finninger, complete with cake.
